Under his rule, Stormwind was rebuild to its glittering glory. Lothar and Llane perished in the longyears of war, but Llane was survived by his son, Varian. Again with the leadership of Lord Lothar, the orcs were defeated, and Stormwind's people returned to their city. For a time, they lived in Lordaeron as the Second War was waged against the orcs. Led by their champion, Stormwind's refugees departed their ruined homeland. While the armies of Stormwind defeated the orcish horde at Blackrock Spire, it came at the terrible cost of their home. The ensuing war waged on Stormwind left the city in ruins, and Medivh was cut down by the men he once called friends. Secretely, he brought the Orcs, then servants of the Burning Legion, into Azeroth. Stormwind's power only grew in these years, but by Medivh's hand, all of this would come to ruin. It would be many years before Sargeras took control of her son, Medivh.

The Stockades is a lvl 24-32 instance in which the player accompanied by 4 other players [presumably goes into an overrun prison to complete quests and get loot. The city also has an instance within its walls the Stockades. It alo houses a barracks and the entrance to champions hall where pvp honor rewards are given.

Old town is full of shops and also contains a tavern. Go south from there and youll be at the last district of Stormwind Old town. This area also houses the deeprun tram which can be ridden to Ironforge. Dwarven district is very industrial as you can tell by the smoke cloud in it as soon as you walk in. Keep going right and youll be in Dwarven District. This district also has an orphanage in it that has some seaonal quests tied in. Cathedral Square houses the cathedral of light which contains both paladin and priest trainers. Go right from the Park and youll be at Cathedral Square. Many Night elfs have seemed to find their home in the park of Stormwind. Go north from there and youll end up in the park.
It is a place mostly for mages and contains Alchemists trainers and mage class trainers and well. If you take a left and go across the canals youll end up in Mage Quarter. The guild master is located here along with the Auction house and the Bank. many stores line the road with weapons food and trinkets. Most of these heroes are presumed dead as read on their plaque (but some of them will be in outland in the Burning Crusade Expansion).Īfter crossing the bridge youll wind up in The Trade District. Along the bridge are statues of heroes of the Alliances past. At the entrance there is a bridge that is required to cross to actually get inside the city. Just follow the road northwest out of goldshire and before long youll see the cities gates. Its located in Elwynn Forest not far from the Human Starting area of Northshire.
The city is absulutley marvelous and in my opinion is the coolest of all the allaince cities. The child king anduin wyrm rules from the keep alongside highlord bolvar who is actually the big cheese in Stormwind. Comment by 9156This is the capitol of the humans of Azeroth.
